Maths in any label
Type LaTeX between dollar signs in a box, an arrow label or a note, and it is typeset on the spot. Fractions, sums with limits, hats, vectors, matrices and cases all work.
$\mathcal{L} = -\sum_i y_i \log \hat{y}_i$ for a loss$\operatorname{softmax}(QK^T/\sqrt{d_k})V$ for attention- Snippet buttons for Greek letters, operators and sets
- Works offline: no fonts or scripts are downloaded
The size the journal asks for
Pick IEEE one or two columns, ACM, Springer LNCS, Elsevier, Nature, A4 text width or a thesis page. Chalkline exports at that exact width at 300 or 600 DPI and writes the resolution into the PNG, so Word and LaTeX place it at the right size.
- Vector PDF with real, selectable text
- PNG with print resolution built in
- SVG with a title and description for accessibility
- TikZ code that pastes straight into Overleaf
Check colours before reviewers do
Preview the board in greyscale, as a black and white printer sees it, and as people with red green or blue yellow colour blindness see it. Chalkline warns when two colours turn into the same grey, and one switch swaps in the Okabe and Ito colour blind safe palette.
- Greyscale, deuteranopia, protanopia and tritanopia previews
- Warnings name the colours that clash
- Safe palette applies to exports too
Model figures in one line
Write Input(224x224x3) -> Conv(64, 3x3) -> ReLU -> MaxPool -> Dense(10) and get a drawn network with tensor blocks sized by channels, neuron layers and operator symbols. Branches and residual connections work with names.
- Tensor blocks, feature maps, encoders and decoders
- Attention matrices, vectors and neuron layers
- Add, concatenate, multiply, ReLU and sigmoid symbols
- Subfigure labels (a), (b), (c) placed on every diagram
